Vista, CA, Lodge held its 37th annual Christmas Party for more than 400 children with special needs. Among the partygoers were nearly 300 students from the California Avenue School, an elementary school that teaches students with special needs. The children in attendance were given a meal, followed by musical entertainment and a visit with Santa, who gave each child a gift and a stocking full of goodies. Lodge members also honored several California Avenue School teachers for their dedicated service to children with special needs. Pictured are (front, from left) Past Grand Est. Florence, CO, Lodge held a Children’s Christmas Party for children from the community. Nearly 200 children attended the party, which featured a piñata, a dance performance, enter- tainment by a clown, and a visit from Santa, who spoke with each child and gave each child a stuffed toy animal. In other news, the lodge hosted a free Christmas Dinner. Nearly 450 community members attended the event, which also featured door prizes, entertainment by a clown, and live musical entertainment.


Lakewood, CO, Lodge held a Christ- mas Party for 200 adults with disabilities and their parents and guardians. Partygoers were given dinner and enjoyed live musical entertainment and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who gave each guest a gift bag. Each guest also received a stuffed toy animal and a handmade pillow. The pillows were made by members of the Jefferson High School Key Club.

Northglenn, CO, Lodge members delivered Christmas boxes to 80 needy families. Each family received a basket containing a full Christmas dinner and a toy, a hat, and a pair of gloves for each child in the family. Lodge members were assisted by scouts from Boy Scout Troop No. 524 and players from a local youth baseball team.


Telluride, CO, Lodge donated $1,500 to Telluride Angel Baskets to help provide food and gifts to needy families. The lodge also donated $200 worth of new toys to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.


Derby, CT, Lodge donated a $2,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to Support Our Troops to help pay for postage for care packages to be sent to US troops serving overseas.


Waterbury, CT, Lodge held a Dance fund-raiser and raised more than $7,100 for the Salvation Army. The donation was used to help buy food and gifts for needy families at Christ-

Children’s Christmas Party for more than 200 children from the community and their families. All of the attendees were given lunch, and the children also were entertained by face painting and local sports teams’ mascots. Each child also had his or her photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who gave each child a gift bag and a handmade hat. Seaford, DE, Lodge members baked 100 tins of homemade cookies and shipped them to US military person- nel serving in Afghanistan.


Boca Raton, FL, and Delray Beach, FL, Lodges held a Christmas Party for 60 children. The children included members of the local Boys and Girls Club and relatives of lodge members.
