of DeKalb, Illinois, Lodge No. 765 do recognize and appreciate the dedicated service and support rendered to the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America, the Illinois Elks Association, and the DeKalb Lodge by Bryan R. Klatt; and
the Leading Knight/Officers Training Seminars from 1998 to 2008; and Whereas, He served as district deputy in 1994–1995, was a member of the Grand Lodge Membership Committee from 2001 to 2008, serving as chairman from 2005 to 2007, served as cochairman of the LouGER Committee to then Endorsed Candidate for Grand Exalted Ruler F. Louis Sulsberger, and has served in the position of Grand Secre- tary since 2008; and Whereas, He was a co-owner of Kallal’s Sheet Metal, Incorporated, is a member and lector at St. Mary Catholic Church, past chairman of the HVAC Board of the City of DeKalb, a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus No. 717, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 586, and is a regular volunteer in his community in various school, civic, and athletic activities; and Whereas, He has accomplished all of the foregoing with the help and support of his family, sons Gregory, Andrew, and Lucas, and his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Susan; now therefore Be it resolved, That the officers and members of DeKalb,
Whereas, He was initiated into the DeKalb Lodge in November 1985, serving on numerous committees before becoming exalted ruler in 1989–1990 and serving as lodge secretary from 1998 to 2009; and Whereas, He has served the Illinois Elks Association as vice president of the North Central District in 1992–1993, as state chaplain and Americanism Committee chairman in 1993–1994, as third (1994–1995), second (1995–1996), and first (1996–1997) vice president, as state president in 1997– 1998, as chairman of the Advisory Committee in 2000– 2001, of the Convention Committee from 2002 to 2004, and of
Illinois, Lodge No. 765 are honored to present to the Grand Lodge Convention in Austin, Texas, for the ensuing year the name of Bryan R. Klatt as a candidate for the office of Grand Secretary of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America.

Ressler; and Whereas, He was initiated into the Sumter Lodge in 1973 and maintained his membership while in the US Air Force, was appointed and served as lodge esquire in 1979–1980 shortly after his return to Sumter, was elected and served through the chairs until becoming exalted ruler in 1983– 1984, continued to serve as trustee for five years, as presi- dent of his lodge Past Exalted Rulers Association, as chairman of the lodge Scholarship Committee, as ritual coach, as Audit Committee chairman, as By-Laws Revision Committee chairman, as well as serving on various other committees; and Whereas, He served the South Carolina Elks Association for twenty-seven years in the positions of chaplain and esquire, was elected and served as vice president East from 1991 to 1993, as state president in 1993–1994, as state secretary and state National Convention Housing chairman from 1994 to 2002, as chairman of the Board of Directors in 2006–2007, as a director and a member of the Advisory Committee since 1994, and has served on various other committees including the Ritual, Scholarship, Resolution and By-Laws, Judiciary and has chaired the Elk of the Year Committee and the Business Practices Committee; and Whereas, He has served the Grand Lodge for twenty years, as esquire to the district deputy in 1988–1989, as district deputy Grand Exalted Ruler in 1989–1990, special representative from 1997 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2007, as special deputy in 1999–2000 and from 2007 to the present, and in 2001 was awarded the Grand Exalted Ruler’s Special Citation by Dwayne E. Rumney, and to enhance his ability as a ritual coach, obtained both his floor and word judge cards in 1985, which he maintained for more than twenty years, judging on occasions in South Carolina, Virginia, and Florida; and Whereas, He faithfully served his country as a member of the US Air Force from 1965 to 1985, during which time he was recognized for his dedicated service with various awards, including four Air Force Commendation Medals and three Meritorious Service Medals, and his diverse twenty-year military career afforded him the opportunity to work in the areas of administration, computer electronics, and public relations; and Whereas, He continued the education he began with the University of Maryland while stationed in Asia and Europe and following his retirement from the air force received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina in 1988, during and after which time he has worked in banking, education, public relations, and documentation storage and retrieval; and Whereas, He has been active in his community as a member of the American Legion, a life member of the
