In other news, the lodge sponsored a Christmas Party at the Gilbert Branch of the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley. The lodge provided food for all attendees and toys for Santa to give to the approximately 150 children who attended the party. In more news, lodge members distributed 312 dictionaries to third- grade students at about five schools.

Birmingham, AL, Lodge and Southern Two Steppers, a local charity, held a Christmas Party for 18 young people from the Gateway Residential Pro- gram, which provides therapy and a place to live for teenagers with serious emotional problems. The partygoers were provided with food, musical entertainment, and a visit with Santa, who gave each teenager a gift. The lodge also donated an electronic dartboard to Gateway.
Childersburg, AL, Lodge members provided US Army SSG Matthew Carpenter with dinner at the lodge prior to his second deployment to Iraq.
Buckeye, AZ, Lodge held a Children’s Shopping Spree. Lodge members took 30 children shopping for $100 worth of clothes each. Among the clothes lodge members bought for the children were winter jackets and shoes.
Gilbert, AZ, Lodge members took three needy children shopping at a retail store. Following the shopping trip, the children and their parents

Kingman, AZ, Lodge members deliv- ered food baskets to 110 needy families. The food for the baskets was gathered by students at the Kingman Academy of Learning Middle School and Intermediate School.
Bullhead City, AZ, Lodge members recognized four public servants as Home Town Heroes and gave each of them a plaque in recognition of his service to the community. Lodge members also hosted a dinner at the lodge for the honorees, their colleagues, and their families—a total of about 85 people. In other news, lodge members took 89 needy children shopping for $100 worth of clothes each. Following the shopping trip, lodge members gave the children lunch, followed by entertainment by a balloon artist and a visit with Santa. Lodge members also delivered food boxes to 125 needy families. Each box contained enough food for a full Christmas dinner.
In more news, lodge members honored six area high school students in a ceremony at the lodge and presented each of them with a certificate. The honored students were Iltse Gonzalez and Carlos Lopez of Mohave High School, Aijah Gillespie and Nicholas Hyde of River Valley High School, and James Gravitt and Cassie Ketchersid of the Mohave Accelerated Learning Center.
