Brooksville, FL, Lodge used part of a $2,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to donate $1,000 to People Helping People in Hernando County, which provides food aid to needy people. One of the programs of People Helping People in Hernando County is its Blessings in a Backpack Program, which provides weekend food to needy children. Cape Coral, FL, Lodge, with the help of a $2,000 ENF Gratitude Grant, made a donation of more than $2,000 worth of food and gift cards to the Cape Coral Caring Center, which provides food and other assistance to needy families and individuals. Fort Myers, FL, Lodge donated $1,200 worth of gifts for US servicemen and women serving overseas. The items were donated at the lodge’s Holiday Dinner-Dance.


Green Cove Springs, FL, Lodge members delivered Christmas food boxes to 100 needy families. Each box contained enough food for a full Christmas dinner. In other news, lodge members gave a sweatshirt and two books to each of the 125 first-grade students at Charles E. Bennett Elementary School.


Holley-Navarre, FL, Lodge Food for the Hungry Program used 200 pounds

of donated food and $350 in cash donations to help feed more than 60 needy families.


Jacksonville, FL, Lodge held its annual Christmas Party for children from the Jacksonville Campus of the Florida Baptist Children’s Home. Lodge members provided the 35 children in attendance with lunch, games, karaoke, and a visit with Santa, who gave each child a gift.


Merritt Island, FL, Lodge members sent care packages to about 12 US troops serving in Afghanistan. Lodge members also sent about 14 care packages to private contractors


working for the US military in Afghanistan. Each package contained toiletries, stationery, snacks, and small items of clothing.


In other news, the lodge donated the use of its grounds to 14-year-old student Lidia Skibba to hold a Dinner fund-raiser. The event raised more than $1,200 for the Harry-Anna Trust Fund, which supports the two state major projects, the Florida Elks Youth Camp and Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services.


Orlando, FL, Lodge donated $1,500 to the Fraternal Order of Police Cops and Kids Program, which sends needy children on Christmas shopping trips
