The JS4BD offers exceptional value and performance. Units are matched with a com- plete selection of coils and air handlers to provide easy application on new and retro- fit applications. Units are designed using galvanized steel with a polyester urethane coat finish. The 950 hour salt spray finish resists corrosion 50% better than compa- rable units. Units utilize copper tube/aluminum fin coils, one piece top, permanently lubricated PSC motor and full port 1/4 turn suction service valves. 230Volts - 1 ph.

Note: Registration within 60 days of installation (or within 60 days of occupancy of a new residentially constructed home with these products) required for both 10 year All Parts Warranty and Quality Pledge on residential use equipment. Qualification for extended warranty requires AHRI certified match with Nordyne indoor equipment.

Start Assist Kit

COMPRESSOR HARD START KITS

We receive numerous calls on outdoor units advising us that the compressor won’t start, or started, ran, stopped and will not restart. After reviewing a number of factors, we determine that the compressor is trying to start under a load and the compressor is not equipped electrically to do that. Most of our equipment is wired for “PSC” operation which does not allow for starting under load. The most common system occurrences we have determined, that cause the compressor to try to start under load are: restrictions, line solenoids, expansion valves, long lines, excessive vertical line, or short cycling.

So....if you find a compressor that doesn’t want to start, and the compressor checks out electrically, try a hard start kit. This will change the compressor wiring to a “CSR” configuration which will normally allow the compressor to start and operate against a load. Each manufacturer has recommended start kits for their equipment.
