OIL FIRED CAST IRON SEMI-PACKAGED HYDRONIC BOILERS IN RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS

The Buderus G115 Series boiler combines the inherent strength of a traditional cast iron boiler with simplified maintenance and outstanding operating efficiency. Available in heating capacities of 74,000, 98,000 and 120,000 BTU’s and with the installer’s choice of top quality Beckett, Car- lin or Riello flame retention oil burners, the G115 series provides an exceptional oil heating value. The boiler block is constructed of special grade cast iron. Flue passages and heating surfaces are engineered to provide clean combustion and maximum heat transfer. Boiler sections are individu- ally factory tested before assembly, then the entire assembly is re-tested at 1-1/2 times operating pressure to assure leak free operation. The combination of high efficiency burner and specially designed flue passages not only produce highest A.F.U.E. ratings, but also produce almost no combustion by-products which means reduced maintenance and a minimum of efficiency degra- dation due to soot accumulation.

Standard features include swing out burner door with convertible right or left hinges providing easy access to flue passages for cleaning, heavy gauge steel jacket with 3” insulation and durable enamel finish, tridicator gauge, aquastat well, 3-piece supply manifold, boiler drain and 30 psi relief valve. All models are shipped with sections and jacket assembled, less burner/circulator kit. Burner/circulator packages must be ordered separately according to desired make of burner and includes Beckett, Carlin or Riello burner, Taco 007 circu- lator with flanges, Honeywell L8148 aquastat and flexible 3’ oil line with fittings.

The G115 boiler can be installed in conjunction with a Buderus Logamatic® control system which not only modulates boiler water tem- perature according to outdoor temperature for maximum economy, but controls indirect water heater operation, provides night setback, multi-zone control and many other convenience, comfort and energy-saving functions. The modular design of the G115 series boilers allows them to be installed in conjunction with a Buderus “LT” Series indirect domestic water heater in a space-saving stacked arrange- ment. The high efficiency combination of boiler and water heater provides hot water for both space heating and domestic use in the space of a single appliance. Series G115 Boilers may be direct vented thru sidewall. Venting accessories are listed below and must be ordered separately. Equiguard® Extended Service Agreements are available for Buderus Boilers.
