Roth PEX-AL-PEX tubing is a composite tubing consisting of an inner layer of extruded polyethylene tubing, an inner adhesive layer, a center layer of laser welded aluminum tubing, an outer adhesive layer, and finally an outer layer of extruded polyethyl- ene tubing. As a result of the co-extrusion process, the composite tubing provides an impervious oxygen barrier, the ability to retain shape after bending, and reduced expansion and contraction com- pared to normal PEX tubing. The ability of PEX-AL-PEX to retain its shape allows easier installation and reduced man hours on the job. Can be encased in concrete, or direct buried, due to its plastic outer layer. PEX-AL-PEX is an excellent choice for use in areas of aggressive water, and to replace deteriorated metal tubing. The inner plastic core is not affected by aggressive water. A full line of crimp fittings are available for leak proof installations. Rated for 100 PSI at 180°F.
