Newmarket Holidays’ team of dream-makers have helped build one of the UK’s most-respected names in escorted touring

Multi-award-winning Newmarket Holidays has been sharing our wonderful world with excited, happy customers since 1983. Over the past 36 years, we have built an enviable reputation for providing escorted tours, resort-based stays and cruise holidays that offer exceptional value for money and the highest standards of customer care. Helping our customers to get

the very most out of their visits to a vast array of destinations close to home and in the world’s farther-flung corners – and ensuring that their time with us is as enjoyable and carefree as possible – is

the work of the 130 or so dream-makers at Newmarket Holidays. Having grown to become

one of the largest and most- respected privately-owned travel companies in the touring sector, Newmarket Holidays has nurtured the careers of scores of people. Many of our recruits have

gone on to become linchpins of the organisation, at director and senior management level, working across the various disciplines of a modern, tour-operating organisation. Our dream-makers might

be involved in the creation of our holidays, dealing with suppliers, researching new

destinations, visiting hotels or attractions, or experiencing life aboard a cruise ship. And in sales and marketing there is a vast range of brochures, emails, web pages, promotions and point-of-sale materials to produce. But above all, travel is

a people business and Newmarket Holidays offers plenty of opportunities in customer-facing roles. These range from selling our holidays to our partner travel agents who recommend us to their customers, to dealing with the tens of thousands of customers who call our customer service centre for advice and reassurance as they plan and book their trips. A successful business is also

reliant upon its administration and financial departments, and ours, like the rest of our dream-makers, are among the best in the business too.

Jéssica Barbosa, retail sales support executive “Originally from Madeira, I moved to the UK when I was eight. After school, I studied Travel & Tourism HND at college. In my last year, I did two weeks’ work experience at Newmarket Holidays working with different teams in the company. At the end of my work experience, I was offered a permanent job in the sales support team. “After two years as a sales

support executive, I spent nine months working in the hotels team as a hotel co-ordinator, which gave me the chance to develop my knowledge of the travel industry.

“In December 2017, I took

on a new role as retail sales support executive, which I love. This involves providing administrative support to our travel agent sales team, communicating with travel agents all over the country and representing Newmarket Holidays at shows and events.”
