“We work with ABTA and the Business Travel Association to help travel firms find new talent and upskill current employees. We work with small and large travel employers, including leisure and business travel agencies. “We offer the 24-month


travel consultant standard apprenticeship, plus apprenticeships in accounting, customer service, business administration and management – all suitable for the travel industry. “There is no longer


an age restriction on apprenticeships, making them suitable for school- leavers as well as those already in work. “The travel consultant


apprenticeship includes training on topics such as geography, customer service, IT systems, the law


and compliance, and we can tailor the training to employers’ needs. “We help prospective


apprentices with interview skills, and match candidates with employers. “All apprentices have


a dedicated trainer from Damar throughout their apprenticeship. The training is a blended programme which can include classroom learning, webinars, self-study and one-to-one support. “Apprenticeships are


great for employers as they allow them to bring in rising stars. Our service to them includes identifying training needs, supporting them with funding solutions and providing a recruitment package. I support the employer throughout the process, from recruitment to the apprentice’s final assessment.”
