I applied I didn’t know what role I would have when I started, but knew that I would gain experience in three very different roles. I felt this would provide a well-rounded practical and theoretical experience. I enjoy the exposure my current role offers – there is ample opportunity to get involved in projects and learn something new. This means I can help with tasks which aren’t necessarily part of my job role. “The Avis Budget Group scheme appealed because it’s important to have practical as well as theoretical knowledge. The best aspect of working for a travel company is the variety. There are several parts of the business and they all operate in different ways. “I also enjoy the pace of the travel sector –


there is always something new. This means you can get involved in different projects. And the travel sector is incredibly friendly. Everyone is willing to help with questions, which really helps when you’re new to the business.”
