Knowledge zone
Professional development is also part and parcel of a career in travel. To help with this ABTA has an online training portal, the ABTA Knowledge Zone, powered by Equator Learning. The ABTA Knowledge Zone complements ABTA’s Conference and Events programme by offering free online training modules to ABTA members and their staff.
Our ‘All About ABTA’ online
training tool will teach the basics about ABTA and what ABTA means for both our members and customers. The training is designed to help people understand how ABTA helps customers to travel with confidence and how we provide support, advice and expertise to our members. It is freely available to everyone. All staff have to do is register on the website to gain a better understanding of ABTA and all that we do for our members and their customers.
ABTA offers several free
online training courses in other areas to ABTA members and their staff. These include Modern Slavery, Child Protection and Accessible Travel. An important and highly topical area we currently cover includes training on how to talk sensitively to customers about the availability of Foreign & Commonwealth Office travel advice. Many of the modules are
written in conjunction with other leading experts in their various fields.
