Amie worked in wedding planning


and events management at the National Trust before going on to secure a managerial position at the renowned Royal Museums Greenwich, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Amie says: “I joined the organisation almost two years ago as the sales and marketing officer, and I’m now the event sales and business development manager. During my time there I have developed the wedding business for a particular venue and it has achieved its biggest sales to date. I’m hoping to achieve the same across the rest of the collection. “My UEL degree gave me a great


understanding of the nuts and bolts of the industry, as well as the opportunity to develop the practical skills of planning and delivering an event.”


Working with industry leaders UEL’s Geoff Booth is developing partnerships with cultural institutions, restaurants, hotels, sports and leisure facilities, and tourist sites for the good of students and their potential employers. “We’re developing a unique set of opportunities,” says Geoff.
