“More than 6,000 jobseekers moved into work as a result of opportunities offered by employers in the Hospitality Works 2017 campaign”
● The hospitality sector is very competitive and growing, never more so than in the last two years, against a backdrop of low unemployment.
● Hospitality Works gives you a chance to raise the awareness and expertise of Jobcentre Plus staff about how your organisation operates and recruits employees.
● It’s a fun and engaging way to meet jobseekers and give them a taste of what it’s like to work for you.
● It helps to promote your business and provide jobseekers with a stepping stone to a great career.
During the course of Hospitality Works 2017 there were more than a million impressions on #JobsWithASmile content – over half of them during BHA, Springboard and employer takeover days. Around 3,000 employers also visited Jobcentres during the campaign to attend job fairs, deliver information sessions to jobseekers and promote opportunities. By working with Jobcentre Plus you can find the right calibre of staff – just as one business did when recruiting for a new restaurant in Gillingham. It had advertised through other channels but only five of those invited for interview attended. The restaurant approached Chatham Jobcentre Plus, which arranged interviews resulting in 27 jobseekers being offered employment. The employer’s recruitment team were so impressed they now use Jobcentre for all their recruitment needs.
