Learning Outcomes
In this chapter you will prepare for the first classroom-based assessment (CBA 1), oral communication. Communicating orally is a skill that you will use throughout your life. You will be glad that you mastered it during this year in school. At some time in the future, you may do an interview in which you have to speak with confidence to one or more interviewers. You may be asked to make a speech at a wedding or a family celebration. You may even choose a career in teaching, sales or in the media, where speaking clearly and confidently will be very important for you.
