Some days after Billy’s disappearance, a witness tells a detective that he saw a young man answering Billy Weaver’s description going into a bed and breakfast in Bath. The detective decides to visit this B&B and question the owner.
Write the conversation that takes place between the detective and the landlady. A writes the detective’s questions. B writes the landlady’s replies.
Begin with the landlady answering the doorbell. The conversation starts at the door and moves inside to the warm and cosy sitting room with the big armchairs, the baby grand piano, the stuffed dachshund at the fire and the parrot in the cage. An example is given on the next page.
