You have just read three poems that examine the theme of nature. You have been asked to add two other texts to the nature section: two poems about nature or a poem and a song about nature – at least one must be a poem..

Name the poem(s)/song you have chosen, and write a short introduction explaining why they belong in a section on nature.
Focus now on one poem and describe what it is about in fewer than thirty words.
Write three questions that could be given to a second or third year class studying your chosen poem. The purpose of the questions is to ensure that the class understands the poem and the poetic devices used. You may find it useful to look at some of the questions that follow poems in this collection.

Some biographical information about the poet, including any other well-known poems they have written
l l l l l l l The main message of the poem Any significant poetic techniques used by the poet
Some important quotes to back up any points you have made The reason you chose it
Anything you didn’t like about the poem and would change about it A mark out of five (with five being the highest mark) Who you think might enjoy this poem
If you decide to include this piece of work in your Collection of Texts, complete a Student Reflection Note now.
