New natural actives for hair and skin

After one year of partnering with the South Korean beauty innovation company, BIO- FD&C, Givaudan Active Beauty unveils two new active ingredients. K-phyto [SC] Camellia is a

powerful active obtained from Camellia phytoplacenta cells culture. By using plant cell culture, the team's scientists have been able to isolate and replicate these cells from a Camellia flower (traditionally used in Asia for its scalp care and hair conditioning properties). This unique active will increase the scalp moisture content, up to +13.8%, reinforce the epidermal cohesion of the scalp keratinocytes, resulting in a reduced number of dry flakes and dandruff down to -33.6%, and significantly soothe the

scalp, with a reduction of its erythema down to -6.6%. K-phyto [PP] GHK is an

innovative molecule that combines the best of botanicals and peptides to act on sebum production's mechanisms. Thanks to the phytopeptide technology (combining a peptide with a natural phytochemical molecule), it offers a full set of actions, starting with preserved

antioxidant and anti-aging activities compared to the initial molecules (caffeic acid and matrikine GHK). Clinical studies have shown significant benefits (versus placebo) on reduction of the facial sebum production in just 2 weeks (-35.5%), with an even more impressive efficacy after one month of use (67.5%), up to five times better than placebo.

Ingredient launched with virtual exhibition

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), many exhibitions and conferences have been either cancelled or postponed in recent weeks. Among these were in-cosmetics Global in Barcelona, where CLR planned to launch its latest development, CutiBiome CLR. To overcome this challenge, CLR has

revealed that it has launched a virtual exhibition. CutiBiome CLR is a synergistic

complex of lipophilic extracts from manuka, black pepper and magnolia that provides essential support for the natural balance between skin and its microbiota in difficult situations. CLR is replacing their physical

presence at the originally planned shows with a digital one. CLR’s ‘Virtual Exhibition’ gives detailed information on CutiBiome CLR and the company will share expertise in dedicated sections such as an Innovation Zone, Formulation Lab, Make-up Bar, Sustainability Corner and Marketing Trends.

will be September 30-October 1, 2020 at the Javits Center in New York. There are many layers to producing an event on the scale of Suppliers' Day and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through all the logistics. “Please know, the NYSCC
