Solabia completes acquisition of Mibelle Biochemistry
Solabia Group has completed the acquisition of Swiss cosmetic actives maker Mibelle Biochemistry from Spanish personal care product maker Persán. The French company said the
acquisition strengthens its position as a global leader in biotechnology- driven, natural and high- performance active ingredients. “By combining Solabia’s
international footprint and industrial expertise with Mibelle Biochemistry’s recognized innovation capabilities, Solabia will further expand its portfolio and accelerate the development of differentiated solutions for beauty and wellbeing markets,” said a spokeswoman. Founded in Switzerland in 1991, Mibelle Biochemistry is known
worldwide for its pioneering work in plant stem cell technology and modern biotechnology, with a portfolio covering skin beauty, healthy aging, hair care and cognitive support. Its actives are distributed in
more than 50 countries. Solabia CEO Jean-Baptiste

excellence, sustainable innovation and customer proximity. “Together, we are now even

transaction have not been disclosed.
German personal care ingredient distributor Brenntag has signed an agreement to acquire South Korean counterpart Woojin Trading. Based in Anyang and founded in
1999, Woojin has built a network of global suppliers alongside a rapidly expanding customer base across Asia, backed by a technical team and in-house laboratory. The acquisition strengthens
Brenntag’s position in South Korea and creates a platform for growth across personal care and adjacent markets.

Symrise to acquire fragrance house
Floral Concept Symrise is to acquire Floral Concept, a French natural ingredients house for fragrances headquartered in Saint-Cezaire-sur-Siagne in the Pays de Grasse region. The German giant has signed
a put option agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of Floral Concept to add to its premium natural fragrance ingredients. The parties expect to close
the transaction by the end of September, subject to relevant employee information and customary closing conditions, and have agreed to treat the financial details of the investment as confidential. Symrise said Floral Concept
