of games we had our East Cork Oil J B H C - Ea- monn Fleming Cup semi final between Midleton 1-10 and Sarsfields 3-23 which leaves us with 2 teams in our JBHC Final Castlelyons v Sarsfields. We also had our final in our Michael O’Connor Motor Factors Junior B Football

Lisgoold GAA between Cobh 3-7 and Russell Rovers 2-1 with Cobh coming out winners in what can only be de- scribed as a tough hard game with wet, windy and very wintery weather con- ditions. We would like to thank

Speaking with the Chair- man of the Imokilly board Richard Fitzgerald, who said that without a good sponsor its very hard to run competitions each year and considering that over the last number of years Michael had stood by Imokilly with his sponsorship he should be thanked by all involved. Michael who has always stated it was great to be involved with Imokilly as a sponsor and that the relationship between Im- okilly and himself was always a good one that he hoped would contin- ue for another few years” Presented the cobh cap- tain with the cup after the game. John Walsh from SH Contr4actors presented
the man of the Match award to Cobhs Kieran Histon after the
game
and the Imokilly Board Chairman,
Fitzgerald presented the winning cup to Cobhs winning captain A big thank you to the
James Hennessey (Car- rigtwohill) and his team of officials on the day. We must also thank the Lis- goold club for hosting our Junior B Football Cham- pionship Final and mak- ing sure
everything ran
smoothly on the day. Imokilly hurlers are
in the quarter finals Erins Own on Sun 24th
. This
year East Cork is well rep- resented with Midleton/ UCC/Sarsfields /Erins Own and Imokilly with the overall winners facing each other in the first semi finals, while on the oth- er side of the group the teams left to play are Na Piarsaigh v Bandon and Newcestown v Blackrock again with a place in the

final for the overall winner in this group. This week Imokilly played Youghal in another challenge game in Youghal and got a chacne to run out all players in attendance on the night. Thank you to youghal for this fixture its always good to get a good game in the run up to our match with Erins Own. Dont forget Sunday 24th
