September 2017 Night at the Dogs Fundraiser Raises Approximately €7,000 for Dungourney GAA Club

Club’s annual Night at the Dogs fundraiser was very successful this past Friday, 22 September.
The third annual Night
at the Dogs fundraiser for Dungourney GAA Club saw a large attendance at Youghal Greyhound Sta- dium to take part in a dis- tinctive event featuring dog races and a raffle. The pro- ceeds from the night will
go towards Dungourney GAA Club. “We had our Night at
the Dogs in Youghal last Friday night,” said Christy Fitzpatrick, Chairman of Dungourney GAA Club. “There was a very good crowd at it. It was a very
good fundraiser. We had a great response from Dun- gourney. One of our club members, Stephen Moth- erway, had a winner in the second race. A lot of the locals backed that so it was a great night from their point of view. We raised in
the region of €7,000.” “We got a great response
from the whole commu- nity,” said Mr Fitzpatrick. “We were very pleased with the sponsors and all those who bought tick- ets. We are very grateful for that and for the prizes
donated by businesses. We had a very successful night overall.”
