Along the famous Rockville Pike, span- ning from the capital beltway just border- ing Bethesda to the Rockville Town Square, are a variety of offerings.
At the east end of Rockville Pike are the Music Center at Strathmore and the Mansion at Strathmore, both great desti- nations for events. The Music Center at Strathmore is a 1,900-seat theatre per- fect for product launches, corporate meetings and private parties.
Built in 1899, the Mansion at Strathmore was first home to prominent Washingtonian Captain James Frederick Oyster and his wife. Today, the mansion is home to intimate artistic programs in the acoustically superb 100-seat Dorothy M. and Maurice C. Shapiro Music Room. It also features the Strathmore Tea Room, serving Afternoon Tea on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and select Saturdays.
Within this area is the new Pike & Rose district, home to Pinstripes, iPic Theatre, Canopy by Hilton Washington, DC/Rockville Hotel and Executive Meeting Center, Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, and AMP by Strathmore.
The Hilton Rockville recently completed a renovation and the opening of its Kosher Kitchen. The property’s 315 guest rooms and suites, public spaces, meeting space and fitness center were all renovated. The hotel is the largest meeting property in Rockville, having added 10,000-square feet of meeting space, bringing its total to 35,000- square feet that includes 14 conference rooms and a central atrium of over 8,000-square feet.
The Cambria Suites is conveniently located in the Rockville Town Square and is steps away from the Metrorail Red Line. The Rockville Town Center is a popular gathering place with an organic market and 20 restaurants.
The UpCounty area of Montgomery County includes Gaithersburg and Germantown. The RIO/Washingtonian Center is home to four Marriott Hotels: The SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center, Residence Inn by Marriott, and Courtyard by Marriott Washingtonian.
This area features a lake, walking path, shopping and many dining options. The Hilton Washington DC/North Gaithersburg and Holiday Inn Gaithersburg both offer significant amounts of meeting space for groups in the UpCounty area. Nearby, the Homewood Suites by Hilton provides another option for groups. Amenities include a short ride to Metro accessibili- ty, 10-minute ride to the Clarksburg Premium Outlet center, and just around the corner, guests can enjoy the RIO/Washingtonian Center.
