tips
Dawn Bundick, Hard Rock Philadelphia
“The best tip I can give is - if you do not know your audience, get to know them. Find out what was done in the past - including both the ‘hits’ and the ‘misses,’ and ensure that the caterer and venue can accommo- date diverse palates. When it comes to entertainment, during the interview process of potential entertainers like bands, ask for some upcoming dates and where they will be playing so you can go and listen and get a feel for their vibe. Remember, they need to be able to play to a diverse crowd. Lastly, have fun with it! If you had fun in planning it, that will definitely come across to attendees during the event!”
ent experience, and we are happy to make that happen for them, too."
Jason Weldon, president and CEO of Synergetic Sound + Lighting, says that his clients have a message that they want to deliver when holding a holiday party or event. “Our part of that message typically is done through creative light- ing design, cutting-edge video projec- tions, state-of-the-art special effects, and/or crystal-clear sound systems."
"Our job is to take the time upfront and listen to what you want the outcome to be,” he continues, “so that we don’t over- produce the event. Holiday parties can be tough. Getting the most information from the customer helps us as we work hard to help deliver their message in the best way."
Weldon adds that when consulting with a client about their event, they often ask, “What can we do that is different? Of course, I have some grand visions, but some of the most popular things we saw last year, we are seeing again this year, such as: our indoor sparkler fountains; creative placement of the entertain- ment; themed events; and creative con- tent designed to engage the guests.”
For those looking for a fun and unique venue for their holiday gathering, Hard Rock Philadelphia is a great destination of choice. According to Dawn N. Bundick, senior sales and marketing manager for Hard Rock Philadelphia, "You can have a full band in the main café for a true party atmosphere, and at the same time in the Philadelphia Room have a DJ or more mellow music for a laid back vibe.”
Being able to offer two separate and dis- tinct spaces and experiences offers planners more flexibility in incorporat- ing additional enhancements for their clients that will ultimately translate into an event that provides an exceptional experiences for guests, Bundick notes.
What’s more, décor is already built into the venue! Home to priceless, authentic
