Tips & Trends from Roberts Event Group Tips for Creating Sponsorship Opportunities at Events
• Integrate the brand into an interactive component. For example, a car company can bring in a vehicle for a photo op, or a children’s company can sponsor a craft station.
• Incorporate brands into centerpieces or other decorations throughout the event space, whether that means colors in the linens or the use of props in the centerpieces, etc.
• Invite sponsors to brand the live stream of the event. • Sponsor SnapchatTM
geofilters. • Sponsor free parking.
• Allow sponsors to create a unique photo wall using their product. For example, a backdrop made up of champagne bottles.
• If your venue has a swimming pool, take advantage of sponsored pool floats or floating logos.
• Sponsor charging stations or Wi-Fi.
• A QR Code scavenger hunt can lead attendees to the sponsor’s booth at a trade show or special event. • Sponsor a VIP lounge.

The area in and around the convention center complex also encompasses the Thaddeus Stevens and Lydia Hamilton Smith Historic Site, which includes the for- mer residence, law office, and Kleiss Tavern owned by powerful political leader, U.S. Congressman, and abolitionist Thaddeus Stevens.
His home and law office have been named by the National Park Service as a National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom site. In addition, the complex area also includes boarding houses that belonged to Lydia Hamilton Smith, who was a free woman of color and Stevens' business manager and confidante.
Together, these noteworthy structures help define a historic precinct in downtown Lancaster that provides a tangible link to Stevens and Smith, and the inspiring nar- rative themes connected to their achieve- ments.
