“Museum of the American Revolution is the hottest new event spot in Philly,” exclaims Nina Scimenes, communications and market- ing manager of Brûlée Catering, which is now part of the Comcast Spectacor portfolio. “Every planner wants to hold an event in this spectacular space.” Brûlée is the exclusive caterer for the new museum.

Presenting an expansive collection of Revolutionary War-era weapons, personal items, letters, diaries and works of art set in its galleries and theater, the museum is just steps from Independence Hall and serves as a portal to the city’s many historical sites.
A black-tie gala celebrated its grand opening in April and raised over a million dollars to support the museum’s first year of operation. “It was an exciting event for 650 guests,” says Scimenes. “Brûlée catered a VIP reception in the Liberty Ballroom and a full-service three- course dinner outside in a huge clear-top tent. Tom Brokaw was a featured speaker, and original Hamilton cast member Sydney James Harcourt performed along with students from The Philadelphia High School for the Performing Arts. It was a beautiful evening.”

Independence Visitor Center (IVC), another property offering exclusive catering and events by Brûlée, will unveil a newly expand- ed terrace in 2018. Available for events of up to 300 guests, it will boast unobstructed panoramic views overlooking Independence Mall from the National Constitution Center all the way to Independence Hall.
Additional spaces at IVC can host even larger events, such as the Grand Hall, which can accommodate a cocktail party or tasting event for up to 1,000 people, or a seated dinner for as many as 500 attendees.
Temple University Hospital’s 125th anniver- sary celebration, the Acres of Diamonds Gala, took place at Please Touch Museum in April, an event that included entertainment by Patti LaBelle, a silent auction and much more.
