The Delaware Art Museum is available for hosting special events and offers some unique team building opportunities in Wilmington, DE
Paul Chung, CMP, president, Boggs Chung Inc.
When Considering a Museum or Attraction: "Insurance coverages need to be reviewed. Look for ‘hidden’ costs - power, security, house staffing, etc. When do we have access for set-up and breakdown? Also, examine load-in and load-out logis- tics, such as loading dock procedures and requirements, service elevators, hallway and door sizes, and other factors."
Choosing Unique Venues: "We try to find unique venues that are not usually thought about - for example, stores or business- es that contribute to the themes and goals of the event or meeting."
Working with Venue Reps: They need to have “an understanding of our audience; understanding of our goals. They need to catch the spirit of what we are trying to achieve.”
On Trends: "The ability to network and interact may not be a new trend, but it’s a key goal. It’s usually why the audience has been brought together. Secondarily, a trend to experience new and innovative things. This can be foods, beverages or technology, such as VR (virtual reality)."
