In 2017, Hoelsworth observes that plan- ners have been going all out and look- ing at different ways to get attendees really excited about their event, and the holiday season is no different. “Just a few of these options include: dueling pianos, casinos nights, custom cocktails, photo booths, live music, and, of course, a cruise on the water."


Choosing the food, drinks, venue, AV services and entertainment are all very important elements when planning a holiday party, but another important ele- ment that really helps to set the tone (and the table) are the linens chosen for the event.


Michelle Harris, business development manager for Choice Party Linens, Inc., says that, when selecting tablecloths for an event, planners will need to know the actual size of the tables being used. “You also will need to decide the length of coverage, or ‘drop,’ that you would like to have,” she continues. “When selecting chair covers, you must be aware that there are different types of chairs - and within those types - there are different sized chairs.”

Requesting samples ensures that the planner will get exactly what they expected along with the fit that they need. “Samples of chair covers and linens will ensure that the end result is what the customer and planner are looking for,” notes Harris. “Our linen rental specialists are on call to advise and help select perfect linens for your design, and also to consult on sizing."
