Normandy Farm was selected for a multi-day retreat that included a week of meetings and private dinners at the on-site restaurant. The grounds of the property served as the backdrop for a hot air balloon launch, as well.


Le Pain Quotidien, which is French for “the daily bread,” is a bakery-restaurant group that was founded in Brussels in 1990. Now an international chain of bakery-restaurants, it serves a variety of bakery goods, coffee drinks and a dine-in food menu. So, when attendees from Le Pain Quotidien - known for its food quality and use of organic and fresh ingredients - took part in a retreat here, the staff at Normandy Farm want- ed to provide them with an experi- ence that was consistent with the com- pany’s consumer brand.

Fresh-squeezed juices were served at every meal, and all organic and local ingredients were used in preparing each dish. In addition, the staff designed a custom, sommelier-narrat- ed wine dinner that paired Normandy Farm’s in-house culinary creations with organic wines. Afterward, the attendees retreated to the outdoor ter- race to relax around the fire pit.


“We offer a cozy, historic venue full of personality and charm that you just can’t find at a typical, more sterile property,” said Murray. “We back it up with an IACC-certified facility and our own team of enthusiastic profession- als, who ensure that nothing is over- looked from start to finish.”


The property, which recently under- went a $2 million renovation, is easily accessible to Philadelphia and the sur- rounding area.


Camelback Resort Lodge and Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark in Tannersville in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for team building events. Tandem (two-person) snow tubing, scavenger hunts, aerial rope courses, rock walls, laser tag, mini bowling, as well as “paint and sip” group pottery painting, culinary chal- lenges, casino games, Olympic-style challenges and more. Of course, old- fashioned fun with games like giant Jenga and corn hole are popular, too.


Groups also can participate in Ricochet, a fast-paced, multi-event team competition that incorporates competition,


teamwork, creativity,


decision-making and problem-solving skills by offering from 12 to 15 activi- ties at stations all being run simultane- ously. Because of the various activities, it allows attendees with a wide range of abilities to participate and compete.


For an activity that’s sure to be unfor- gettable, the Tree Tops Course features participants suspended high in the trees who can climb with varying chal- lenges designed for differing skill lev- els. Team members must navigate swaying bridges, wobbly logs, zip lines, vertical cargo nets, ladders, high wires and more.
