Gone are the days when team members would sit around a table in a stuffy, enclosed room to build camaraderie and have a bond- ing experience. Team building events have become innovative and have evolved from the tired exercises of partnering with a coworker to find out a few interesting facts about them that you didn’t know before.


The concept of team building exercises has moved beyond the office and into areas where attendees can leave the daily grind behind and fully experience events meant to encourage creativity and fun, as well as to forge good working relationships through engaging in a variety of team challenges.


Several venues within the Mid-Atlantic region have come up with some very unique team building exercises for groups - everything from cooking competitions to testing stamina during outdoor activ- ities to learning new skills together - that are available to capture the group’s interest and be shared as part of a meaningful experience.


After the team building exercises and retreats are over, attendees will find the memories of the experiences and the important bonds that are formed during these events to be invaluable tools once they have returned to the office.
