ACME | DIGIVIDEO SPOT 2500 www.acme.com.cn

The DigiVideo Spot 2500 is a moving video spot in a compact, lightweight chasis. It produces high brightness, and is equipped wwith endless gobos and videos to meet the requirements for pubs and nightclubs. It features an LCD display, with 2500 ANSI lumens, and 1800:1 contrast ratio. The DigiVideo Spot 2500 has a wide range of video inputs, 15 pin SVGA, S-Video (NTSC or PAL) as well as Composite (RCA). An extra 32GB SD card is available which allows users to easily add their own video and photos, meaning the fixtures can be set up for instant use. The fixture is controllable via DMX 53 or 28CH selectable, and has an option for wireless W-DMX.

AMERICAN DJ | VIZI SPOT LED PRO AND VIZI SCAN LED PRO www.americandj.com

American DJ has introduced its two most advanced, powerful and feature-rich DMX-compatible LED fixtures to date: the Vizi Spot LED Pro and Vizi Scan LED Pro, a moving head and scanner respectively. Running on a super high-output 50W LED source (6,500°K), the Vizi Spot LED Pro and Vizi Scan LED Pro are 2-in-1 hybrid effects that set new standards in performance, professional features and efficiency. Each of these fixtures can function as either a spot or wash effect, thanks to a variable frost filter that can be applied to transform the unit’s hard-edge spot beam into a diffuse wash of colour, making these two of the most versatile entertainment lights around. Their powerful 50W LEDs cast incredibly brilliant beams on dancefloors, stages, walls, and ceilings, yet each of these energy-efficient units consumes just 130W of electricity at maximum use. Their long life LED source is rated at 60,000 hours. Each includes eight dichroic colours + white, and seven rotating interchangeable gobos on separate colour and gobo wheels, allowing for a vast number of combinations. A separate prism wheel with three facet and infinite prisms adds even more exciting optical possibilities. Featuring a 13° beam angle, the Vizi Spot LED Pro and Vizi Scan LED Pro also include a gobo shake effect, gobo scroll mode, strobe, frost effect, 0-100% dimming, and auto X-Y repositioning.

ARKAOS | KLING-NET www.arkaos.net

ArKaos has launched a radical new network protocol, Kling-Net. Kling-Net has been designed to allow the distribution of real-time video data to remote display devices, such as LEDs or LED panels, over Ethernet. The purpose of Kling-Net is to allow the automatic configuration and connection of display devices to a computer. It can add some ‘intelligence’ into display devices to enable auto configuration and ensure a perfect time synchronisation of multiple display devices. Kling-Net allows users to avoid using expensive hardware video converters to send video to display devices, and helps them to create a heterogenic network of display devices from different manufacturers, all controlled by a simple computer. Kling-Net uses a media server to do all the work to make operation simplicity itself. At power up the LED devices are detected and configured automatically by Kling-Net before sending their resolution and pixel format to the media server. The media server can then read and change parameters from the device. Once a device is registered to a media server, it will start receiving video frames, mapped by the user onto the media server’s display, in real-time. Kling-Net has been designed to work with as many manufacturers’ LED products as possible. It relies on a source code to transform even the most simple LED device into an intelligent Kling-Net device.

ARTISTIC LICENCE | MULTI-PLAY www.artisticlicence.com

Artistic Licence Engineering announces Multi-Play, a lighting show record–playback unit with outstanding memory capacity and Ethernet protocol versatility. The time-saving offered by such a device is in great demand, as demonstrated by the popularity of the company’s sister product, Two-Play - a dedicated Art-Net controller capable of recording up to two Universes. Now, Multi-Play takes the concept to a much bigger and broader arena. The disk-based product allows the user to record up to twelve Universes from any lighting console running Art-Net. For ultimate flexibility, playback is supported through multiple proto- cols, including Art-Net, ShowNet, KiNet and ACN Lite (E1.31). Offering advanced triggering functionality, with the option to set the time, day or date cue as a rolling parameter, Multi-Play is a highly sophisticated controller. Nevertheless, its simple web browser configuration and compact 1U rack mount enclosure ensure that it remains user-friendly and practical.

ARX | TAP-IT www.arx.com.au

ARX, the Australian based manufacturer of USB, digital and analogue interface and signal processors has announced the release of its new TAP-IT transform- er isolated audio line tapper. With the ongoing convergence of Audio, AV and IT systems, providing a clean audio feed to wireless and cabled transmission and recording systems has become a priority for systems designers, integrators and installers. Hums and ground loops, problematic Y leads, the misuse of headphone outputs or jury rigged patch ups need no longer be tolerated because the ARX design team has developed the new TAP-IT transformer isolated audio line tapper as the solution. The main inputs and outputs are hardwired, so the signal integrity isn’t compromised, and the TAP-IT’s passive design eliminates the requirement for problematic external power supplies and wall warts.

AUDAC | WX502/OW www.audac.eu

Audac has announced the launch of its new WX502/OW outdoor loudspeaker. Audac decided to design a white version of the WX502 based on the already succesful black version, the WX502/O, after receiving a number of requests from its customers. The high quality sound originates from a weather- proof treated 5-inch low frequency loudspeaker in combination with a 1-inch dome tweeter. It also features a rotatable waterproof connector on the rear side, a drainhole behind the aluminium grill to prevent moisture from staying inside the cabinet and a bracket wich passes the 96 hours salt-spray test.
