BEAUTY THERAPY Technical Certificate
On this study programme, you will learn the creative skills of a beauty therapist, including make-up, manicure, pedicure and nail art, facial skincare, eyelash and brow treatments, waxing and tanning. You’ll also have the chance to practise your skills in a real life salon environment and undertake reception duties.

Throughout the qualification, a range of theory and practical assessments will support your learning and test your knowledge and skills development. You will be taught by industry professional staff within our brand new modern commercial salons.
On going assessment is by multiple choice question tests that you complete online, as well as working on clients to gain competency and confidence within this speciality field. Throughout the qualification we will also be working on the development of your employability skills as well as your Maths and English.
BEAUTY & SPA THERAPY Advanced Technical Diploma
A Level 3 Diploma in Beauty & Spa Therapy enables you to further your skills and increase your employment prospects and earning potential by developing the range of treatments you are able to offer. In this course, you will advance your Level 2 skills, as well as be introduced to Hot Stone Massage, Body Massage, Facial Electrical Treatments and Spa Treatments.
Use this qualification as your passport to employment in local salons and spas
The skills training is supported by studying relevant anatomy and physiology, along with salon health and safety and the introduction of new Level 3 units such as Electrotherapy, Spa Treatments and Body Massage units. There’s a valuable commercial component to the programme too, so you can learn relevant skills required such as reception, client communication and the selling and promoting of services and products. Final assessments are based on your practical work and your portfolio.

Progression Following successful completion of the course, you will be invited to continue your studies with us. For a career within the industry you should progress on to the next level within your speciality. However, should you wish to take an alternative route, you can study further and specialise in either Theatrical, Special Effects and Media Make-up or Nail Technology.

Progression Following successful completion of the course, you will be invited to continue your studies with us in Level 3 Nail Technology, Sports Massage or Theatrical, Special Effects & Media Make-up qualification. Alternatively, you can progress to Level 4 Diploma in Management Practice and Advanced Techniques, specialising in Micro-pigmentation.
Many of our past learners have gone on to employment in local salons and spas. Some use their qualifications to work on cruise liners and in holiday resorts. Others return to us to pursue a career in teaching in the beauty, nails and spa sector.
