VEHICLE BODY REPAIR & REFINISHING Diploma
With some 30 million cars on UK roads and the number growing each year, demand for skilled vehicle body repairers can only rise.
This one-year study programme is a useful combination of theory and practical skill-building in our modern, well- equipped workshop. The qualification is designed to cover the fundamentals of vehicle body repair and refinishing. Skills you’ll develop include panel fitting, welding and the removal and replacement of panels. It also covers vehicle paint applications and the preparation of panels.

This programme is a sound preparation for more vocational training. You can progress as a second-year apprentice, depending on your work placement, or progress to a Level 2 full time study programme.
VEHICLE BODY REPAIR & REFINISHING Diploma
This study programme is designed to further the knowledge covered in Level 1. The course covers removal of structural panels, paint defects, glass fibre and the different material and paint finishes associated with modern vehicle technology. Specialist materials and equipment will also be introduced.
The teaching environment is very similar to a modern vehicle body repair centre
You will investigate the removal and refitting of structural panels and different techniques of joining material. Refinishing will investigate the different types of paint equipment commonly used such as spray booths and paint mixing schemes. Defects in paint and how they can be rectified are covered at this level.

Progression Students who complete the programme can hope to gain employment as a Level 2 apprentice or could possibly return to follow the full time Level 2 programme.
