ALL ARE WELCOME! Lower Aghada tennis and sailing club was founded in 1917 making this year the 100 Year Anniversary! We would like to welcome
the community to help cel- ebrate this occasion on 28th May from 2pm to 5pm. There will be lots of ac-
tivities for all ages with plen- ty of opportunity to try out a bit of tennis. You will get
to see our
beautifully renovated club house and meet club mem- bers and coaches. Strawberries and cream,
teas and coffees are all pro- vided to whet your appetite and weather permitting, the BBQ will be lighting. Come and join us for an afternoon of fun for all ages.

Yoga for Tennis Gary Colbert is starting
a Yoga class specifically geared towards tennis play- ers on May 1st
at 6pm. The

JUNIOR TENNIS Easter
Camp: Easter
Camp last week was a huge success. The weather was fabulous and the kids had great fun and learned a little bit of tennis along the way. Over 12 Match Play :
Match play for over 12’s, hosted by Brendan Kirrane, Gillian McIlrevy and Vin Barry runs every Saturday from 12 to 1pm. Games are organised and fully super- vised. It’s a brilliant oppor- tunity for our teenage mem- bers
to have some game
practice. Friday MatchPlay: Mi-
chael Russell is running junior match play on Friday afternoons. He’s putting the kids through their pac- es with some drills followed by game play. It’s great to embed the lessons they are learning during their coach- ing sessions. 7-10yrs are welcome from
3-4pm, 10-12yrs are wel- come from 4-5pm and 12yrs + are welcome from 5-6pm. News from the Opens:

SENIOR TENNIS Team Tennis: We’re at the business end of the Cork
Regional League (Spring
League) now with all three teams qualifying. Wayne Fitzpatricks team
were 2-1 winners at home over Rushbrooke while Kin- ga Schwartau’s team had a 3-0 away win over Carri- galine last weekend. Barry Fitzgeralds team

tional Rally of the Lakes took place this weekend. The Main Rally took over 15 gruelling
