The Midleton Agriculture Show Still Accepting Entrants For This Year’s Event

ture Show will this year take place on Sunday, 28 May. The Agriculture Show


will be held in Loughad- erra, which lies between the N25 and Kilmoun- tain Cross, at

of the month and will feature a plethora of at- tractions ranging from horses, cattle, sheep and dogs to arts and crafts, to cookery and trade stands, among many more at- tractions. “We have a new ven-


ue,” said Ms Phyllis Lynch, one of the or-


ganisers of the Midleton Agricultural Show. “This year’s show will be held in Loughaderra now, just off the main Cork-Wa- terford Road. It will be signposted for the day.” After expressing thanks

Families, for hosting the event, Ms Lynch con- tinued: “We will have trade stands, an award for the best-dressed per- son, a baby show, a dog show – you name it, we have it. We even have a show jumping competi- tion. Midleton Macra na Feirme will also be com- ing in and doing some tasks on the day.”


The day’s itinerary be- gins with horse and pony jumping events at 10am, with multiple


show entries will be tak- en on the day but

classes of horse and po- nies (brood mares and foals, young horse class- es, mini ponies, ridden hunters, working hunter ponies, etc.) beginning from 11am-12.30pm. Arts, crafters and cookery classes will be held from 11.30am followed by a dog show at 3pm and the parade of prize-winning cattle at 4pm. “Entries will be taken


in all categories until 11 May,” said Ms Lynch. “The schedules are now available
