May 2017 Cobh Museum Launches Anchors Aweigh Exhibition

cially launched its new- est exhibition, Anchors Aweigh, last Friday, 28


April. The

unveiled to the public for the first time at Cobh Museum last week, with Anchors Aweigh focus- ing on the United States Navy’s time in Queens- town from 1917-18.

Anchors Aweigh joins


other current exhibitions such as the Scuttling of the Aud 1916 and Lusi- tania: A Day in May. Cobh Museum is


housed within the former Presbyterian Church known as Scots Church is located along High Road and is a run on a not-for-profit basis. The museum, run on a not-for-profit basis, is staffed by a team of over


20 volunteers is open daily from April through to October. From Mon- day to Saturday the museum is open from 11am-1pm and 2-5pm and on Sundays 2.30-5pm.
