Midleton Education Together National School Winter Fayre

CUNNINGHAM The Midleton Educate
Together National School Winter Fayre was held on
Saturday, 10 December at the school. Stalls were
set up by
parents and children alike, with home baking and crafts on offer for all to en- joy.
The annual fayre has
been running for the past number of years and was organised by the Midleton Educate Together National School Parents Association in conjunction with the

school. A member of the Parents
Association told the East Cork Journal: “It went really, really well. It was a fantastic event and the kids played a really strong part in the day which was fan- tastic. Santa arrived in a fire truck from the local sta- tion, there were craft stalls, raffles, so many amazing things made by the kids.”
Parents from the com-
munity also played a strong role in the day with their home baking skills on dis- play. There was also games for
the kids with hook a ring around Rudolph’s antlers and find the treasure on the giant map in the games room, as well as some sea- sonal face painting for the younger children.
Pupils from the school
also got the opportunity to showcase their talents, with many selling their own home made crafts. The
talented school
choir got the chance to sing Christmas classics to par- ents and friends and with Santa arriving in the local fire truck the Fayre really kicked the Christmas sea- son off for the school.
47 Local businesses from
across East Cork kindly do- nated for the annual raffle which closed the day’s pro- ceedings. The Parents Association
thanked all those who as- sisted in the day’s events. The group said: “Thank
you to all involved who helped to organise, donate cakes and prizes and also entertain attendees.”
