Midleton GAA Juvenile Christmas Social and Christmas Draw

by RUTH WALSH Public Relations Officer for the Midleton GAA Juvenile Club

The annual Christmas

Juvenile social is a high- light in the Juvenile Calen- dar. It marks the end of a very busy GAA year and is way of getting all the play- ers and their families to-

gether to mark the end of the year, present the med- als and celebrate

all our

player’s achievements and efforts made throughout the year. Everyone gathers afterwards in the lounge for the players raffle and Christmas Draw. We had a great turnout

on Saturday evening last, 10 December, for our Ju- venile Social

for all our

Fe10 – 16 players and their families. There was a great atmosphere in the hall and it was great to see the club hall packed full of players and parents and a wonder- ful way in which to end the year.

Once all the players had

enjoyed a bite to eat they all took to their seats for the presentation of medals. All groups were called for-

ward by their Managers to receive their medals and had a team photograph taken with their respec- tive medals and cups won during the year. We bid farewell to this year’s Fe16 players who have complet- ed their time in the Juve- nile section of the club. We wish them and their selectors all the very best as they transition over to the adult side of the club. The Juvenile committee made a presentation to each of the selectors by way of a thank you and a presentation was also made to them on be-

half of the players. The Social concluded

with presentations of Most Improved

Player of the

year awards. All managers spoke very highly of all the players chosen as recipients for this year’s awards. We congratulate them all. Fe11 –Rory Lester
