Christmas Day Swim 2016 in Youghal


for St Vincent de Paul The traditional Youghal Christmas Day Swim will be held on Christmas Day at the usual time of 12noon at the Front Strand. The fundraising swim is synonymous with Youghal and is always an event which is well sup- ported. Over the years those who take to the cold waters on Christmas Day have sported various colourful hats, costumes, gloves and various footwear, bringing a sense of fun to an event which raises funds for a very worthy charity. Sponsorship Cards are available from Aherne’s Restaurant and Neville’s Shop and donation buckets will be at the Front Strand for those who wish to make a con- tribution. The organisers are hoping for a good turnout once more this year. Proceeds will go to St Vincent de Paul.
