CARACTERISTICI MORFOMETRICE ALE RELIEFULUI BAZINULUI HIDROGRAFIC SĂLĂTRUCEL

MORPHOMETRICAL FEATURES OF SĂLĂTRUCEL HYDROGRAPHIC BASIN’S RELIEF. Sălătrucel hydrographic basin, with an area of approximately 100 km2, left tributary of the Olt river, gathers its waters from both the hills of Jiblea Depression and the mountain area represented by the Cozia southern frame, which is particularly important in shaping the morphometric characteristics of the basin. In shaping the morphometric characteristics of the Sălătrucel basin have contributed the following factors: the expanding of Sălătrucel basin on two major units of relief: a mountain area (Cozia Mountains) and a hilly area predominantly (Jiblea Depression), geological complexity, climate, the antropologenic factor. The relief’s variety is due of a long and complicated geological and geomorphological evolution which led to the differentiation of three main stages in the basin relief: the high stage, the hilly stage and the low stage. These stages are differentiated by the specific morphometric characteristics. The current morphometric features of Sălătrucel basin’s relief is the result of physico-geographical factors interaction with the existing landforms and also with the anthropogenic factor, which introduced changes over the time in all environmental components.

Introducere Bazinul hidrografic Sălătrucel, cu o suprafaţă de aproximativ 100 km2, are ca


principal râu colector Sălătrucelul (Coisca), afluent direct de stânga al Oltului, ce îşi adună apele atât din sectorul deluros al depresiunii Jiblea, cât şi din sectorul montan reprezentat de rama sudică a munţilor Cozia, fapt deosebit de important în conturarea caracteristicilor morfometrice ale acestui bazin.
