eliminate interference. The dual-layer cable jacket comprises a flexible PVC inner jacket glued to a PUR outer jacket. This PUR outer jacket ensures that the cables are ideal for open-air applications. In addition, the ultra-fine conductors with extremely thin strands (exceeding IEC 60228, Class 5) maintain the cables’ high flexibility and simplify installation. The fine-strand conductors also provide for durable and break proof wiring connections even under vibration. Over 50,000 metres of Klotz cable has been used. All of the digital signage and screens have been specified by Transexpo and have been manufactured by engel display.
LVIV Municipal Stadium Lviv has been constructed specifically for Euro 2012. Its 34,915-capacity was grown from an original plan of 32,000, presumably so that it qualified for use during the competition. As well as the main seating areas, the stadium boasts 14 corporate boxes designed for 12 people and a president box, which can hold up to 24 guests. For Sound House Pro, the experience gained from its work in Kiev equipped the team for Lviv Arena. Not only did the company now have working knowledge of installing a stadium, it had bespoke products that would help to answer the task. The scenario with the cable runs in Lviv was equally as illogical as it was in Kiev. Thankfully, with the newly developed Klotz LSB2160P and LSB4160P cables, a satisfactory outcome was reached. Garkaviy admitted that the thick cable jackets are not quite an ideal solution - there is a slight reduction in high frequencies - but it is certainly the best answer for a challenging predicament. One challenge that was unique to Lviv Arena was the challenge that hanging the speakers created. The stadium’s structure did not have sufficient hanging points for the Electro-Voice speakers, so Garkaviy turned to a newly acquired partner - Milos Structural Systems. It is the first time that Sound House Pro has specified Milos equipment for a large project. The aluminium specialists from the Czech Republic supplied 16 pieces of Quick Truss QTL3000 3- metre, 40 pieces of 4-metre long QTL4000, over 500 double cell clamps and all the associated parts needed to assemble the system onsite. Milos was contacted by Garkaviy, who proposed and supplied the Milos trussing solution to Lviv State Administration. The project was managed for Milos by Michal Zykan. In addition to the speakers, other technical production equipment - like lighting and AV - can also be hung on the same trusses circumventing the stadium for events and special occasions.

Sound House Pro started working with Milos in 2011, and has been impressed with the quality and versatility of the products, plus the speed and efficiency with which Milos can turn around orders. The design of the roof structure had a significant influence on the sound system at Lviv. There are no auxiliary loudspeakers under balconies and the power amplification system uses fewer rack rooms, however, Sound House Pro has calculated that the acoustic parameters are even better than at the Olympic Stadium. The main system consists of 95 Electro-Voice EVH-1152S/66 speakers - 15 more than in Kiev. But far fewer Electro-Voice EVF- 1181S-PIB subwoofers were needed - 32 in total. The speaker line- up is completed by nine Electro-Voice Xi-1122MHA 2-way speakers that cover the field of play.
SOUND CONTROL Amplification and control for the two stadia are, principally, very similar. Both stadia had alike predetermining requirements, which included the need for low power consumption. The systems also needed to offer remote monitoring possibilities and the ability to control from one software window, as well as signal transferring protocol to allow independent components to be accessed, thus minimising cable runs and sound quality losses. And, essentially, the system needed to be bespoke, so that each sound processor could be configured to suit its environment and customised user interfaces could be established for individual users.
