154 GUIDE - AMPLIFIERS

MARTIN AUDIO | MA5.2K www.martin-audio.com

The MA5.2K is the latest addition to the renowned range of MA Series amplifiers. The MA5.2K utilises the pulse width modulation principle in combination with a high efficiency two stage switching power supply to deliver true Class-D operation with unparalleled sonic perfor- mance and hitherto unobtainable power delivery. Occupying only 1U of rack space, weighing a mere 8kg (17.6lbs) and, with 2 x 2,600W output into four ohms, the MA5.2K is a cost effective, high performance solution to many amplification requirements.

MASTER AUDIO | SM SERIES - LIGHT www.master-audio.com

The new SM Series of amplifiers offer the high dynamic power of Master Audio amplifiers with the added bonus of being lightweight. Their proven technology combines switch mode power supply with Class-H amplification modules allowing a considerable weight reduction without lossing sound quality and reliability. The series comprises four models, SM-1000, SM-2000, SM-3000 and SM-4000. The SM-1000 is capable of 2 x 500W output into four ohms, the SM-2000 at 2 x 1,050W at four ohms, the SM-3000 produces 2 x 1,400W at four ohms and the SM-4000 is 2 x 2,000W into four ohms. All models feature high dynamic power, an inrush current limiter, with gradual volume at switch-on, an undetectable clip-limiter circuit for maximum power level without distortion, and benefit from an innovative Heatsink design.

MATRIX AMPLIFICATION | XT4004EQ www.matrixamplification.com

Matrix Amplification Ltd build a range of 2-channel and 4-channel amplifiers including the XT4004EQ. Driving four channels at 1,000W RMS into four ohms from a compact 2U package, the XT4004EQ features class AB mosfet output stages to deliver every nuance and transient present within the source material. Powered by a high efficiency 8kva switched mode power supply, there is always plenty of headroom available. Weighing just 8.5kgs the high efficiency design has two dual-speed temperature controlled 80mm long-life fans and our unique turbulated heatsink design to provide efficient cooling. Low thermal mass keeps the amplifier weight down and gets the heat out quickly. The EQ model includes a fully variable built in active crossover with high pass, low pass and bypass available on each channel. The ampli- fier has fully balanced XLR inputs and Neutrik speakon NL4 / NL2 output sockets and is connected to the mains by a fused powercon inlet, with soft start to limit in-rush current making installation simple and quick even in large systems.

MC2

AUDIO | E100 www.mc2audio.co.uk The remarkably compact E100 amplifier is the flagship of MC2 Audios highly successful E Series. It is also the company’s most powerful

4-channel amplifier and the first 4-channel proprietary Class-D switched mode amplifier to be developed by the Devon-based manufac- turer. Designed to run cool even in the most difficult working environments, the E100 can deliver in excess of 2,500W into four ohms with all channels driven from a 2U, 11.8kg chassis. There is a Hybrid Dual Loop Feedback system (HDLF) for load independent, accurate audio reproduction, a high performance Active Energy Steering Circuit (AESC), custom drive circuitry and magnetic components to ensure highly efficient, high power, low impedance operation without compromise. The E100 is designed to run two ohm loads, thus giving huge power in excess of 3,200W from each of the four channels. This gives the amplifier further flexibility for running bass applications and allows bridg- ing of a pair of channels down to four ohms. Bridging a pair of channels via the rear panel switches turns the E100 into a very powerful bass amplifier offering 6,400W at four ohms and over 5,000W into eight ohms. It also commands outstanding distortion and noise figures right up to maximum output. The E100’s ability to deliver high power into loads from 2-16 ohms makes it an extremely versatile piece of rental inventory whether driving line arrays, point sources, subs or monitors.
