The IOCore is an expansion module in the CueCore product family of solid-state lighting controllers. It offers interfacing to digital and analogue inputs and digital outputs and supports various protocols like DMX, RS-232, OSC, UDP and Art-Net. Void Acoustics launched a new sound system called Incubus. The company claims that the 5-way Incubus Club System, ‘unites the highest levels of performance ever achieved with the biggest leap in style consciousness since the invention of the loudspeaker’. A bold claim to make. The system incorporates the Air Array, Hyper- fold and Incubus Subs. Wireless Solution showed both new products and some innovative advancements to its product range. The company has been working on a completely new software platform - W-DMX G4S -since October 2011 that is prepared for future hardware functions as well as many new features and updated functions. Other highlights were the W-DMX Slot In, BlackBox MK2 and ProBox F-2500. XTA and MC² Audio launched two brand new products. XTA has created the


DS8000 - an entire redesign of its famous DS800 mic/line distribution system. Featuring microphone preamps designed by Gottlier award winning Alex Cooper, the DS8000 offers many new facilities including a dual redundant power system, ‘one to many’ split-switching, anti-tamper functions and subtle panel lighting. Also showing was the S Series S800 and S1400 reference power amplifiers from MC² Audio. Alongside the newly launched CL series of digital mixers was Yamaha’s established PM5D, M7CL and LS9 digital consoles, all of which feature seamless compatibility with the new range via Dante (and the Dante-MY16-AUD interface card) and File Converter software, which allows users to transfer console files between all four console models. The Zero 88 ZeroWire CRMX, Cooper Controls’ new DMX/RDM wireless solution was previewed this year. The ZeroWire CRMX is based on the first automated and adaptive wireless technology specifically developed for the lighting industry. Prolight + Sound returns to the Messe on 10-13 April 2013.
