148 GUIDE - AMPLIFIERS
AD-SYSTEMS | IMPULS NT4
www.ad-systems.com
AD-Systems has announced the introduction of a new system amplifier - the Impuls NT4. With AVB Network (IEEE Audio Video Bridg- ing), true 4-channel concept with 2,500W to each channel on four ohm loads, proprietary Class D circuits and a Sharc DSP of the fourth generation, the NT4 is the backbone of all AD-Systems speakers. Thanks to its quick edit interface, all important parameters to set up a sound system are direct accessible at the user interface. With the Ethernet based AD-Net software, all parameters can be accessed and edited. The user software will be available for the Apple iPad, Apple Mac OS and Windows PC. The open edit platform allows users to set up and save all available parameters for third party speakers. The wide range power supply with power factor correction adjusts itself to any frequency or mains voltage between 100 - 240V AC. The amplifier can be used anywhere in the world by delivering the full power. The NT4 is ideal for any professional audio application in touring sound or fixed installation and guarantees superb sound quality with top notch DSP power, Ethernet abilities and high power output on flexible 4-channel. The Impuls NT4 is entirely designed and manufactured in Germany.
AUDAC | DPA616
www.audac.eu
Audac’s newly introduced DPA616 is a professional 16 channel power amplifier, which is capable of delivering a power of 60W to four ohm loads connected to the 16 output channels. When used in bridge mode, it can deliver a power of 120W to eight ohm loads connected to the eight bridged outputs. The DPA616 amplifier is designed to deliver great simplicity in use and installation due to only possessing the necessary controls and connections. By fitting a separate gain control potentiometer for every channel and providing a stereo / bridge and parallel switch for every two input connectors, the DPA616 is able to avoid cable clutter when multiple channels are fed with the same input signal. The DPA616 amplifier is designed with a built-in multipurpose protection circuit that protects against DC malfunction, short circuit, overheating, overload and limitation of the signal when necessary. The DPA616 is an ideal solution for installed multi-zone audio distribution systems that could be created together with the MTX Audio Matrix Series.
BOSE | POWERMATCH 8500 / 8500N
www.pro.bose.com
The new Bose PowerMatch 8500 / 8500N amplifier is designed to work with Bose RoomMatch array modules and other professional loud- speakers, and can allocate its 4,000W rated power between two and eight channels. It provides an unprecedented combination of audio performance and flexible output - all from a standard wall outlet. A dual feedback loop architecture continuously monitors and controls the current and voltage to help prevent circuits from being overdrawn. It also combines the sound quality and reliability of the best Class-AB designs with Class-D efficiency. Bose PeakBank power supply incorporates proprietary regenerative four-quadrant design with fast-track- ing power factor correction (PFC). It offers higher power and higher efficiency over standard PFC, and improves peak bursts for superior transient response and low-frequency performance. Bass transient response is further enhanced with Bose switching technology that delivers high levels of continuous output for longer durations. Most sound system applications require several output power levels, involving different amplifier types. Through new QuadBridge technology, the PowerMatch amplifier provides a level of flexibility only available from Bose. It’s configurable in single, bridge, or QuadBridge modes, and maintains consistent tonal balance regardless of the output level. Con- figurations are selected via software and include 8 x 5,00W, 4 x 1,000W, 2 x 2,000W, or mixed combinations. Bridge or QuadBridge modes can drive either low-impedance or 70V / 100V loads.
CAMCO | D-POWER SERIES
www.camcoaudio.com
The three new models in the D-Power Series expand the range to a total of six, now covering a power output range from 250W to 2,300W per channel at four ohms. Designed to meet a wide range of applications and offer considerable flexibility, the D-Power Series is at home in any pro applications. The new models, the D7 / D1 /D05 incorporate new technologies in both engine and SMPS designs. The D7 utilises a hybrid Class-H amplifier engine, while the D05 and D1 use the new UMAC Class-D technology, and all offer smooth and responsive handling throughout the power range. All models benefit from the latest advances in Camco’s SMPS technology, the resulting light weight units are at home in all professional applications. Use in combination with the Q-Power Series or on their own, the D-Power series delivers pure and reliable power for applications where cost and ease of use are paramount without lose of integrity.
