DAY 1 – Fly to Santiago Overnight fl ight from Heathrow, via Sao Paulo to Santiago with TAM.
DAY 2 – Santiago Transfer to the Crowne Plaza Hotel for 3 nights.
DAY 3 – Santiago Morning historical tour of Chile’s capital including the Moneda Palace and the Plaza de Armas.
Santiago de Chile Valparaiso Vineyards
DAY 4 – Valparaiso and Viña del Mar Full day excursion to visit the elegant Pacifi c coastal resort of Viña del Mar and the historic port city of Valparaiso, Chile’s engaging cultural capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Return to Santiago, stopping at a vineyard in the Casablanca valley for some wine-tasting.
DAY 5 – Mendoza
Thrilling ride over the Andes to Argentina and the charming tree-lined city of Mendoza, famous for its vineyards, for 2 nights at the Sheraton Hotel.
DAY 6 – Mendoza Tour this pleasant city, Argentina’s renowned wine centre. The city of Mendoza has a special charm with beautiful trees and parks and a friendly atmosphere which has been an inspiration to the arts. Visit the old and modern parts of the city and the impressive San Martin Park.
DAY 7 – Buenos Aires Fly to Buenos Aires for 3 nights at the NH Lancaster. Afternoon tour of this elegant and cosmopolitan city where you will see the beautiful parks and gardens of Palermo, the colourful district of La Boca, the old quarters of San Telmo, the Government House, Congress and the Recoleta Cemetery.
CENTRAL CHILE
Chile is famed for its wine-producing valleys along its Central Pacifi c Coast. Here neoclassical Santiago contrasts with the colonial port of Valparaiso and its blanket of colourful houses.
SANTIAGO Encircled by mountains, Santiago was founded by the Spanish in 1541. Today its bustling streets provide visitors with a rich mix of colonial architecture, modern skyscrapers and vibrant street cafés. Beyond the city boundaries you can also enjoy beaches, world- class ski-resorts and the delights of Chile’s famous vineyards.
VALPARAISO & VIÑA DEL MAR Chile’s largest port, Valparaiso was the birthplace of Pablo Neruda, Chile’s Nobel prize-winning poet. A UNESCO World Heritage site, its unique architecture and cultural legacy saw it nicknamed ‘The Jewel of the Pacifi c’. Just to the north lie the beaches and resorts of the Garden City of Viña del Mar.

DAYS 8/9 – Buenos Aires 2 days at leisure in Buenos Aires or hop across the Rio de la Plata and visit the colonial splendour of Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay.
DAY 10 – Iguassu Falls Fly north and view the falls from the Argentine side including the superb ‘Devil’s Throat’, before crossing into Brazil for 2 nights at the Mabu Thermal Hotel.
DAY 11 – Iguassu Falls Explore the Brazilian side of the spectacular waterfalls. The Iguassu Falls are set amidst a sub-tropical forest abounding in colourful birds and butterfl ies.
DAY 12 – Rio de Janeiro Fly to Rio for 2 nights at the Windsor Excelsior Hotel.
DAY 13 – Rio de Janeiro
Full day sightseeing in one of the most spectacularly located cities on earth. Included is the cog train ride to the summit of Corcovado Mountain, the cable car ride to Sugar Loaf Mountain and a drive along the famous beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon.
DAYS 14/15 – Fly to the UK Morning at leisure before your TAM Brazilian fl ight back to the UK.
