DAYS 1/2 – Fly to Luang Prabang Thai Airways fl ight via Bangkok to Luang Prabang. 3 nights at the Maison Souvannaphoum. Afternoon visit to the stunning golden temple of Wat Xieng Thong and the summit of Phu Sii Hill.
DAY 3 – Luang Prabang
Boat trip on the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves and a H’mong village. DAY 4 – Luang Prabang
Optional excursion to the spectacular Khuang Si Waterfalls, cookery lesson or a morning elephant mahout experience.
Vientiane
DAY 5 – Hanoi Morning at leisure before an afternoon fl ight to Hanoi for a 2 night stay at the Silk Path Hotel.
That Luang Stupa DAY 6 – Hanoi
Cyclo tour of the Old Quarters including the Hoan Kiem lake, the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the temple of Literature. Evening water puppet performance.
DAY 7 – Halong Bay Drive to Halong Bay to board the Bhaya overnight cruise. Sail amongst karst landscape and fl oating villages exploring the natural wonders of Surprise Cave and Titop Island.

Enjoy sunrise over Halong Bay before brunch on board. Drive to Hanoi airport. Fly to Danang and transfer to the Life Heritage Resort in Hoi An for 2 nights. Morning walking tour of the town including the Japanese Bridge. Stop at the home of a craftsman for a silk lantern making workshop. Afternoon at leisure to explore the tailor shops or enjoy an optional excursion to My Son. This evening enjoy the monthly full moon festival with its colourful festivities and music.
SOUTHERN LAOS
Southern Laos offers incredible scenery, rich ethnic diversity and the meandering passage of the Mekong, where traditional fi shing villages and lush jungle landscapes provide the perfect backdrop. A particularly relaxing way to explore the area is on a cruise with Vat Phou.
VIENTIANE Delightfully serene, the enchanting Laotian capital is a city of colonial grandeur and beautiful gilded temples on the banks of the Mekong. With little of the frantic pace of other Asian cities, its highlights include the most revered stupa in the country, That Luang, and the quirky Xieng Khuan Buddha Park.
4000 ISLANDS Part of an archipelago of islands set amongst the Mekong River delta of southern Laos, Si Phan Don is a wonderfully serene place to simply relax and enjoy. Home to rare Irrawaddy dolphins and the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia, the area is perfect for exploring by bicycle or boat.
KAMU LODGE, UPPER MEKONG Majestically set on the banks of the Mekong a stay at Kamu Lodge can be combined with the Luang Say cruise between northern Thailand and Luang Prabang to provide a more relaxing journey along the river.
DAY 10 – Saigon
Fly to Saigon. Enjoy an afternoon visit to the remarkable Cu Chi Tunnels. 2 nights at the riverside Majestic Hotel. Optional evening cruise on the Saigon River.
DAY 11 – Saigon
Optional excursions available including a half-day cookery course which includes a visit to a local market or a half-day Saigon Art History tour. This evening an optional ‘Saigon by Vespa’ tour is available.
DAY 12 – Can Tho Journey into the Mekong Delta with an overnight stay at Victoria Can Tho.
DAY 13 – Chau Doc Visit Cai Rang fl oating market before travelling further into the Delta. Overnight at Victoria Chau Doc.
DAY 14 – Phnom Penh Cross into Cambodia and continue by speedboat to Phnom Penh. Overnight at Sunway Hotel. Optional excursions to a local market, the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and the ‘Killing Fields’ of Choeung Ek. This evening there is the option of a sunset river cruise.
DAYS 15/16 – Siem Reap Visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda before fl ying to Siem Reap for 3 nights at the Victoria Angkor Resort. Exploration of the wonderful Khmer temples by remork.
DAY 17 – Siem Reap
Optional Khmer cooking class. Drive To Tonle Sap lake and cruise between the fl oating homes and fi sh farms. Option to visit “Les Artisans”.
DAY 18 – Fly to UK. Morning Bangkok Airways fl ight to Bangkok to connect with the international fl ight to London Heathrow.
