DAY 1 – Fly to Luxor Morning EgyptAir fl ight to Luxor (via Cairo). Embark on your dahabiyya for the start of a relaxing week spent cruising on the Nile.


DAY 2 – Luxor This morning your East Bank sightseeing begins with a visit to Karnak Temple. Relax onboard after lunch before an evening visit to the magnifi cent setting of the Luxor Temple. Overnight mooring in Luxor. (B,L,D)


DAY 3 – Luxor Today explore the West Bank and enter the atmospheric setting of the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of the once mighty pharaohs lie amongst the desert landscapes of the Nile Valley. Also visit the Valley of the Queens and the magnifi cent mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, passing the imposing Colossi of Memnon en route. Later commence the journey to Esna where you will pass through the lock and overnight in Esna. (B,L,D)


DAY 4 – Esna Today your voyage continues, with a visit to the magnifi cent and spectacularly preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu, constructed in the 3rd century BC and, after Karnak, the largest temple in Egypt. Overnight private mooring beside a Nile island. (B,L,D)


DAY 5 – Kom Ombo


Sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Ptolemaic temple, uniquely dedicated to two gods – the falcon god Horus and Sobek, the crocodile god. Its superb location overlooking the Nile and perfect double symmetry make this one of the most picturesque on the river. Overnight private mooring beside a Nile island. (B,L,D)


DAY 6 – Aswan A fi nal morning of cruising will bring us to Aswan. This afternoon visit the High Dam, Old Dam and the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser when the dam was constructed. Overnight at your private mooring near Aswan. (B,L,D)


DAY 7 – Aswan


Optional excursion by air to Abu Simbel, Please advise at the time of booking if you would like to take this excursion (page 22, £195 per person). Overnight in Aswan. (B,L,D)


DAY 8 – Fly to the UK Fly to Cairo and connect with EgyptAir fl ight to Heathrow. (B)
