DAY 1 – Fly to Shanghai Fly from Heathrow to Shanghai with Virgin Atlantic.
Suzhou Summer Palace
DAY 2 - Shanghai Transfer to your hotel by high speed Maglev Train. 2 nights at Sunrise on the Bund. Afternoon visit of old Shanghai, including the Yu Yuan Gardens and the Bund. Enjoy a traditional tea ceremony. Evening performance of the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe.
DAY 3 – Shanghai
Optional visit to the water towns of Tongli and Wuzhen or opportunity to explore Shanghai further.
DAY 4 – Beijing Travel by Bullet train from Shanghai to Beijing. In the afternoon visit the Imperial Summer Palace, a UNESCO site where successive dynasties created a haven of Chinese gardens and ornate pavilions. Take a boat ride across the tranquil waters of Lake Kunming. 3 nights at the Prime Hotel.
DAY 5 – Beijing Morning visit to the Temple of Heaven with an optional Tai Chi lesson. Afternoon visit to Tiananmen Square and the magnifi cent Forbidden City.
DAY 6 – Beijing Explore the Great Wall of China at Mu Tian Yu with views of the snaking wall across a landscape of lush mountains above a plunging ravine.
DAYS 7/8 – Xi’an
CHINESE ACROBATS, SHANGHAI Acrobatics have a long and rich history in China. For over 200 years, performers have been honing their skills through gymnastics and dance, rope-walking and juggling. Today those skills have reached award-winning perfection, with nightly shows that highlight incredible feats of grace and agility from these renowned acrobats.

SANYA, HAINAN ISLAND Lying at the Southern end of Hainan Island, Sanya is home to some of the best beaches on the island. A great base from which to explore and visit some of Hainan’s natural and cultural attractions such as the picturesque view from Wuzhi Mountain or the 350m Fengguoshu Waterfall.
Fly to Xi’an to see the astonishing 8,000 life-size Terracotta Warriors. 2 nights at the Golden Flower Hotel. Visit the Small Goose Pagoda, walk on the historic City Walls and visit the Shaanxi Provincial Museum. Optional cycle ride along the 14km City Wall and traditional dance performance and dinner.
DAY 9 – Guilin Visit to the Hang Yan Ling tombs before fl ying to Guilin for 2 nights at the Bravo Hotel.
DAY 10 – Guilin A morning cruise along the picturesque Li River through some of Guilin’s most majestic scenery, passing an ever changing landscape of limestone outcrops and enchanting fi shing villages on your journey to Yangshuo. In the evening an optional tour of Guilin by night followed by a visit to the Li River to observe the famed cormorant fi shermen at work.
DAYS 11/12 – Fly to the UK In the morning take a trip out to the extraordinary geological formations of the Reed Flute Caves and the summit of Fubo Hill, for a panoramic view. Fly to Hong Kong and connect with the Virgin Atlantic fl ight to Heathrow.
