DAYS 1/2 – Fly to Hanoi Thai Airways fl ight via Bangkok to Hanoi. Arrive at the Silk Path Hotel Hanoi for an overnight stay. Afternoon cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter. This evening attend a water puppet performance.
Hue Hoi An
DAY 3 – Mai Chau Optional early morning Tai Chi lesson before a morning city tour including Hoan Kiem Lake, One Pillar Pagoda and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Depart on a scenic journey to Pom Coong, a village of the Thai ethnic minority in the Mai Chau valley. Overnight at the Mai Chau Lodge.
DAY 4 – Mai Chau Free at leisure with a choice of optional activities. Enjoy lunch in Pom Coong. In the afternoon walk to Xo, a Thai ethnic minority village.
DAY 5 – Hanoi Morning walk through mountains and rice paddies to reach Van Mai Village for lunch in a local house before returning to Hanoi.
DAY 6 – Halong Bay Travel to Halong Bay and board the Bai Tho for an overnight cruise. Sail amongst the 3,000 islands and emerald waters of Halong.
DAY 7 – Hoi An More sailing time to admire sunrise and the beautiful scenery. Return to Hanoi and fl y south to Danang. Transfer to Life Heritage Resort in Hoi An for 2 nights.
BA BE NATIONAL PARK Home to the country’s largest fresh water lake, the limestone hills and evergreen forests of Ba Be National Park provide refuge for a stunning diversity of fl ora and fauna. There are over 230 species of birds, as well as Asiatic black bears, Vietnamese salamanders and more than 350 types of butterfl y.

The Full Moon Festival in Hoi An coincides with the full moon on the lunar calendar. A highlight of any trip to Vietnam, Hoi An turns off any excess lighting and decorates its streets with candles and lanterns. DAY 8 – Hoi An Morning walking tour of the picturesque streets of the town including the Japanese Bridge. Stop at the home of a craftsman for a silk lantern making workshop. Afternoon at leisure to explore the tailor shops or enjoy an optional excursion to My Son. This evening enjoy the monthly full moon festival with its colourful festivities and music.
DAYS 9/10 – Hue Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer to Hue with a scenic drive over the Hai Van Pass. Visit the Cham Museum en route. 2 nights at the Morin Hotel. Boat trip on the Perfume River and tour the Imperial City and the moated Citadel.
DAY 11 – Saigon
Fly to Saigon. Enjoy an afternoon visit to the remarkable Cu Chi Tunnels. 2 nights at the Majestic Hotel.
DAY 12 - Saigon
Full day trip to the Mekong Delta. This evening an optional ‘Saigon by Vespa’ tour is available.
DAYS 13/14 – Fly to the UK Morning at leisure, with a choice of optional excursions available, including a cookery course which includes a visit to a local market or a fascinating Saigon Art History tour. Overnight fl ight with Thai Airways via Bangkok.
