performance analysis. The programme is designed to appeal to those students performing at a very high standard in their chosen sport.
On completion of the Foundation degree at the required academic standard, there is an opportunity to progress to the BSc (Hons) in Sport (Sport Performance) (Work Based Learning). The degree builds on the expertise acquired from earlier study and further develops the critical, analytical and reflective approach valued by employers.
Placement
It is expected that students will be in full time training (or equivalent to) or have access to professional experiences in a relevant setting. Access to such arrangements is required for successful completion of the work-based assignments within the programme.
Career opportunities
During the programme, it is likely that you will have the opportunity to attend talks from individuals from a variety of professions, including Sports Development, Sports Coaching, and full time athletes. This qualification may benefit you in a wide range of sport-related careers, for a variety of companies or organisations. Throughout your Foundation Degree you will gain an awareness of several organisations that may be of interest to you both during and after your programme.

Having now completed the BSc top-up as well, I feel that I developed a range of skills from a broad array of subject areas that have equipped me well for both sport and the workplace.

allowed me to fulfill my ambitions of studying at a postgraduate level. The course gave me the opportunity to develop my subject knowledge within sport and the branches that surround elite sport. The subjects studied at undergraduate level has given me a solid foundation on which to build my postgraduate knowledge. I am currently working for Leeds Carnegie Rugby on a nutrition internship, which without a high class honours degree from Bath would not have been possible. I feel that the topics covered during the top-up year enabled me to confidently study an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition, as the top up year subjects were relevant and up to date with current research and sporting demands.

Athlete Trials Applicants must also have a proven sporting performance in at least one sport, this must be indicated within your personal statement on application.
