“Many people will tell you that university is more than a just degree. They are right. It is!
We pride ourselves at the University of Bath on the hundreds of opportunities you have as a student that fall outside of your studies. The numerous volunteering, training and enterprise opportunities will allow you to pick up new skills, qualities and develop your own character. The 80-plus societies and 49 sports clubs mean that you will find people who share the same hobbies and interests as you. It could be dancing, it could be juggling... you might want to try skydiving or scuba diving, snowboarding or wake- boarding... the point is, there is something for everyone, and the sense of community and team you feel part of from getting involved is what you will remember the most.
Some people will also tell you that the years spent at university are the best years of your life. We are proud, as a Students’ Union, to be part of making Bath a great place to study, and proving those people right.”
Daniel O’Toole, Students’ Union President 2010/11
