Programme details


Psycho-oncology embraces the psychological, social, behavioural, spiritual and ethical aspects of cancer. It considers the patient, family and carers at all stages of the illness, treatment and beyond. You will explore research and health policy and gain: • A foundation in cancer and health psychology which underpins later modules


• Practical skills in research, communication and psychological assessment


• An evidence-base for the provision of psychological support and treatment approaches


• Knowledge and understanding of transition, survivorship and long-term consequences of cancer for the patient, family and carers
